Make Assessment Work for All Students

Thursday, May 5, Make Assessment Work for All Students:

Multiple Measures Matter

The passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act has ushered in a new era for K-12 assessments. What do parents, educators and students think about the role and value of assessment in this context? What are the opportunities to rebalance our assessment systems to better support students, and what are the obstacles to doing so? To better understand the views of key stakeholders in this context of change, Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) and Gallup have conducted the first-ever study on perceptions of educational assessments that incorporates the views of teachers, superintendents, principals, parents and students.
